Zebras, iconic horse family members, are renowned for their distinctive black and white striped coats, a natural marvel that serves as camouflage against predators. Found in the grasslands and savannas of Africa, these herbivores are social animals, often seen in groups called dazzles, where their stripes create a confusing optical illusion for predators. Three main species exist: the Plains Zebra, Grevy's Zebra, and Mountain Zebra. Zebras communicate through vocalizations, such as barks and brays, and exhibit maternal solid bonds. Known for their agility and speed, zebras can run up to 65 km/h (40 mph). Despite their beauty, zebras face threats like habitat loss and hunting, highlighting the need for conservation efforts.
