Fifty-two years since independence, Bangladesh has now moved off the list of least developed countries, and towards the status of a developing country. This is based on assessments and standardization of benchmarks from the United Nations or UN.

On March 17 2018, the Committee for Development Policy (CDP) of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) assessed that Bangladesh had fulfilled all the necessary conditions to graduate to become a developing country or LDC Graduation.

Even though Bangladesh is the most populous country in the world with a high level of poverty, this country is not very poor. In fact, currently Bangladesh has succeeded in increasing its per capita income, surpassing several surrounding countries. According to the International Monetary Fund and World Economy, rapid economic development has made Bangladesh the 48th largest economy in the world, and it is projected that by 2035 it will become the 25th largest of 193 countries in the world.

What is life like in this country? If you're curious, let's explore it together further.
