Itachi was a man of great conviction, selfless life-style and humble loyalty to his people. He was a prodigy in the art of ninjutsu, and even at such a young age had what it took to be Hokage, a goal he shared with many in his village. This difference between Itachi and his peers though was that he could have achieved this dream if he had been given time. Circumstances and people of power stunted his growth and robbed him of his destiny by people treating him merely as a pawn to be thrown away. Was it fair? No. Did Itachi whine about it? No he didn’t. A true shinobi to the core, he understood what it meant to be a ninja. But there are so many tragic things that result in this, that while we know that Itachi had what it took to make it, had the skills and talents not seen but once in a generation, we also know that fate crapped all over him. Catching him between conflict after conflict, before deciding for one last “screw you” by giving him an incurable illness which would later claim his life. But one of the most tragic things about his life was his romantic life. Many of you don’t know this, but Itachi was in love.
