In today's video you will find out what to see in Trogir. I present to you my idea of what to visit in one day. I have planned the tour in such a way as to show all the major attractions of Trogir. In the video we will focus on exploring the old town.
On our itinerary is, among others: St. Lawrence Cathedral in Trogir, the Chapel of John Orsini, the North Gate and the Sea Gate, the Kamerlengo Fortress or the Cipiko and Stafileo Palaces.
We also did not miss the city's Loggia, where it is possible to find at least some shade in the heat of summer. We enter the old town through the northern gate called Kopnena Vrata, and in the later part of the tour we exit through the Sea Gate directly onto the beautiful Trogir promenade.
The entire old town of Trogir is a network of narrow stone streets as if from a fairy tale or a film set. Buildings that remember quite well the medieval times and even older. Several churches that are very impressive and an atmosphere that cannot be duplicated.
Trogir is one of the best-preserved Romanesque-Gothic towns in central Europe. It is a port town located on the Adriatic coast in central Dalmatia. The Cathedral of St Lawrence is the city's most famous monument and the 13th century portal leading into its interior is a true masterpiece by local master Radovan.
In the video, I will briefly talk about each of the monuments I visited, as well as share tips on restaurants in Trogir, or even where to park your car.
The oldest monument in the city is the Church of St Barbara, dating back to the 9th,10th century. You will see beautifully preserved columns.
Our tour ends at St Mark's tower dating from the 15th century.
