Sumo versus conventional deadlifts, an age-old battle that's lasted for years in all strength circles.

The sumo deadlift is NOT my strongest lift and I blame my Tinman-like hips for my inability to be proficient in this lift. To help me out, I tapped Notorious Lift's Founder, Joe, whose sumo deadlifted well over 3x of his body weight.

This was a fun video and there are fewer things in this world better than deadlifting with friends. We ended up working up to 220kg/485 lbs!

After this video, I've added sumo deadlifts back into my programs and plan to rotate them way more often.

Doing this has been an awesome way to passively work hip mobility while also exposing myself to ranges of motion that I'm not always training in.

Long story short, it's good to get away from your own biases from time to time and I appreciate Joe pushing me here.
