Most producers I know struggle with the mixdown, here’s a quick technique you can use to get a really great balance that will create an amazing balance every time 😎

The volume balance is about 70% of the final mixdown sound, so getting it right is essential 👀

Set your kick to -12dB, then your bass should be 2-3 dB below the kick’s peak (so around -14 to -15dB). Everything else should therefore be quieter than these two reference points 📈

With the rest of the drums, make sure they’re quieter than the kick, for the rest of the instruments, make sure they’re quieter than the bass peak and boom you’re good to go 😎
