Next gen Ford Raptor Ranger suspension lift kit!

That’s right we lifted the Next gen Raptor Ranger! If you’re watching this video you probably have some idea on how good the factory live valved Fox suspension already is on these Next Gen raptor Rangers.

So why lift it? To get it sitting pretty with the 35” tyres. Now I’ll be the first person to tell you that lift doesn’t fit tyres. But it definitely adds overall vehicle clearance. And with the raptor ranger sitting on some aggressive 35” mud tyres a little suspension lift just looks right.

Damo’s Next gen raptor ranger has now had a few combinations of suspension under it. So let’s go back to the beginning

The first lift for the Raptor Ranger was a set of 1” strut spacers in the front. This was mainly to try and get it sitting level. Unfortunately it went from nose down to nose up. The main reason we used a strut spacer was because there were no aftermarket springs available for them at the time.

The second lift. King springs released replacement coils for the Raptor Rangers live valved Fox 2.5” shocks. And the strut spacers came out. This had the raptor sitting around 2” higher in the front and 1” in the rear. With all the added accessories we found it sitting nose up again.

With the left over 1” strut spacers we decided to install them in the rear. The factory Fox shock is a coil over in the rear so this makes it all possible. It’s a relatively easy job that can be done with basic hand tools so why not give it a go.

Now the Raptor Ranger is sitting with a 2” lift all-round. Does this affect the ride and handling of the factory suspension? Short answer, no. These lifted coils have now been in Damo’s Raptor Ranger for around 3 months and 20,000 km. The real life feedback is he can hardly tell the difference from the standard ride. Everything feels and handles as good as it did from the factory.
