Hello Sketcher,

All Irish people know that in sunny weather, there is no better place on Earth than the west of Ireland. We also all know that in lousy weather there's no worse place: it's one or the other, especially if you're not wearing the right clothes.

But with the right company and the right sketching gear, you will be happy no matter what the weather is doing. My husband Marcel and I celebrated 25 years of marriage during the week and he whisked me away to a remote island for the occasion. Inishbofin is off the coast of Co. Galway, almost as far west as it's possible to be in northern Europe - although I'd have to fact-check that - and it went from paradise to purgatory in the space of 24 hours.

In this video I share some sketching tips - only a few, mind - which I hope will make a difference to your sketching activities.
