We are far too attached to things external from us. Especially things we buy, acquire and collect. We have this notion that when we buy things and add to our collection, we are adding to our worth. But our worth is unchanging. No matter what we have or don't have, we our worth is the same. No one can add or take from our worth as a person. Realizing this and other mindset shifts, we can detach ourselves form things. And with this easily lead a minimalist and intentional life. It is not easy and it will take work and time to shift our mindset, but it is possible to strive for non- attachment to things.
