It prospered in the 17th and early 18th centuries under the rule of a line of Hindu Rajas of the Malla dynasty. Bishnupur developed a unique form of architecture and has perhaps the most brilliant and detailed terracotta work in Eastern India that has withstood the ravages of time. The Terracotta tiles depict stories from Ramayana and Mahabharata. The Temples like the Shyam Ray Temple, the twin shrines of Jorbangla and the Rasmancha are a must visit.

Rashmancha:- This is a historical temple of Bishnupur, it was build by Mallabhum King Hambir Malla Dev in 1600.

Jor Bangla Temple:- This temple was build by King Raghunath Singha Dev in the year of 1655.

Lalji Temple:- This temple was built in 1658 by Malla King Bir Singha.

Shyam Rai Temple:- This temple was founded in 1643 by King Raghunath Singha.

Radheshyam Temple:- This temple was built by King Chaitanya Singha in 1758.
