Super Junior's Donghae, Eunhyuk, and Kyuhyun decided to leave SM Entertainment. The agency announced that the three Super Junior members left after agreeing not to renew the contract. SM explained that Donghae, Eunhyuk, and Kyuhyun chose to leave because they would continue their respective activities outside of SM Entertainment. "Eunhyuk, Donghae, and Kyuhyun did not renew their contracts with us and each will carry out individual activities," SM Entertainment wrote in the official announcement. However, SM emphasized that the three idols were still continuing their activities as members of Super Junior. Donghae, Eunhyuk , and Kyuhyun will also continue to take part in various series of Super junior promotions with SM Entertainment. SM then gave encouragement to the three members who did not continue their respective contracts. SM Entertainment also ensured that it would continue to maintain communication so that the three idols' solo activities could go hand in hand with Super Junior activities.
Meanwhile, Leeteuk, Heechul, Yesung, Shindong, Siwon, and Ryeowook are confirmed to have renewed their contracts with SM entertainment. Not only that, SM Entertainment also announced that Super Junior as a group extended their contract with them. This made Super Junior continue to be in SM entertainment.
