With inspiration from the colourful light of the sun that is only different but harmonious colours converge can they shine brightly, the work reflects the harmonious coexistence of the seven ethnic minorities in Yunnan. The work is composed of seven movements and uses seven elements, the "Green: Song of the Wind", "Cyan: Song of the Moon", "Yellow: Song of the Mountains", "Blue: Song of the Water", "Red: Song of the Fire", "Purple: Song of the Heaven", and "Orange: Song of the Sun", to depict the musical charm of the seven ethnic minorities, shining a brilliant and harmonious seven-coloured light. The first movement "Green: Song of the Wind" shows the local customs of the grassland in Mongolian ethnic style. The first part of it is about the spring wind awakening the earth while the second shows the bold and unconstrained folk customs.
