Since the earliest days of aviation, aircraft have, more or less, looked very similar. While a lot has changed in terms of technology, the basic fixed-wing design remains the same. While a blended wing concept has been experimented with for decades, it’s only had limited success in the commercial sphere. But as manufacturers and airlines focus on efficiency improvements, could we see a very differently shaped plane in the future?
