In this Physics video lecture in Hindi we explained perfectly inelastic collision in one dimension ( 1d ) for class 11 and also derived the expression for energy lost and final velocity in perfectly inelastic collision. You can easily extend this to two and three dimensions ( 2d and 3d ).
In perfectly inelastic collision total momentum of the system is conserved and maximum energy is lost. After collision two bodies move togather sticking to each other.
Elastic collision - In this type of collision total momentum and total energy of the system is conserved.
Inelastic collision - In this type of collision total momentum of the system is conserved but energy is not. Some energy is dissipated.
In the upcoming videos we are going to find out final velocities of colliding bodies in elastic collision with the help of momentum conservation and energy conservation.
