I installed the PowerBass OE65C-FD in all four doors of this ford fusion. I had to replace them because the original speakers were blown and sounded terrible. The PowerBass don't sound bad, but could be better for the money.

Installation was a breeze, if I had a higher level trim with the 8+ speaker audio, then the tweeters would have been plug and play. But seeing as I have an SE and my particular car is not wired for tweeters, I had to run wires form the main driver in each door to the tweeters. I will say Ford did a stand up job designing the door panels on each door, as there was no modification required to install the tweeters on any of the doors.

All I had to do was run wire from each speaker to the tweeter, which as I mention is not an issue because this relates to the SE trim level only and higher trim levels will be equipped with the wiring, and these speakers (out of the box) have the adapters to make everything work.

I did install the identical speakers into the rear doors. Sound quality from them is less than the front speakers, but of course that is a source/amp issue that will be resolved at a later date and is not worth discussing at this time. (plainly put the factory stereo outputs less power to the rear speakers due to children - this can not be bypassed easily)

If you are wondering about the motor being trashed in this car, something is wrong with the chain to the balancer (2.5L) and it knock/slaps/locks up at times. Easier to change the engine than repair. These motor's are cheap enough.
