“I feel less encumbered by everybody else’s opinions and thoughts in a space like this,” says acclaimed singer/songwriter Madison Cunningham during our latest Trail Mix session.

On the heels of winning the 2023 Grammy for Best Folk Album, Cunningham hit the road with Hozier and will soon join John Mayer on tour. But she seems most at home with just her and her guitar on the trails of Red Rocks, the warm, tumbling tones of her instruments and voice cradled by the canyon walls.

“All things fade away,” she sings on the song “Broken Harvest,” but we are positive Cunningham’s flame will burn bright long into the future.
