How to set zoysia plugs in 2022. The same applies for bermuda plugs and centipede plugs. Today we are planting El Toro zoysia plugs, where we go over what you need and what to do.

First, use the Proplugger to create your holes. Next, score the plugs with a knife and set them in the newly created holes. Now you're ready to fertilize and add a biostimulant if you want. Finish it off with plenty of water and step on each plug to ensure a tight fit. Water daily for a couple of weeks and then begin to back off to every 3rd or 4th day. Zoysia fertilization can be decently aggressive when establishing a new lawn. Apply ¼ to ½ lb of nitrogen and Phosphorus along with some potassium every 2 weeks. Apply no more nitrogen after August. Apply a kelp based biostimulant at half the label rate every 2 weeks.
