A new statement from the EFL says the financial crisis engulfing Derby County is now critical, with the club expected to run out of money next month.

If the club's administrators can't generate the necessary funds to pay the club's day-to-day running costs, liquidation would be the only option. The EFL have previously said that if Derby can't offer guarantees that the club can survive until the end of the season, they may withdraw their membership of the League.
