Meet the Larsons, an Army family of 17+ years, a family of four, and a life of non-stop moving due to PCSing. Sticking together side by side at every turn, move, challenge, and unexpected circumstance, this family made and continues to make it through.

After 17 years, John decided it was time to retire his boots. Wanting something new, his wife had reservations about the unknown, the military had been their constant for many years.

John wanted to give his wife the bedroom she always deserved. With the constant moving in the military, their homes were never truly theirs. Now it was time to change that!

Our goal for this bedroom makeover was inspired by a Texas oasis feel, incorporating both rustic and airy elements to embody the true spirit of Texas for a welcoming space perfect to unwind and recharge in. ✨

The plan: The room itself is a great size, a huge plus. By changing the position and direction of the bed, adding a seating area, appropriate lighting, and plants, we'll be able to create this look!

Our decor came from a store no one expected! 👀... That's right a grocery store!! No other than H-E-B, only found in the great state of Texas! Their home decor section is perfect for this makeover. We found multiple pieces with texture, personality, and abstract looks to capture the space. Getting crafty with the accent wall was a huge choice that turned out fantastic. The accents in this room were important to bring it all together. To make the room feel larger, we changed the curtains, and their length, and added lighting and bold colors that stuck out in all the right ways.
