Starting our transit through Singapore attemping the torture feet massages of the Airport.

Straight into Mandalay watching the Beatle nut chewing, red mouthed drivers spitting their red gunk out the window. We were greeted happily at the Victory Point Hotel http://hotelvictorypoint.com

I decided to eat with the locals, trying the crispy crickets and throwing down some lager. Bloody good drop actually

All the woman and many one the man wear a makeup which is wood bark rubbed onto a stone with a little splash of water to make a light paste. We certainly never saw anyone with shorts above the knee, nearly every man wears the traditional dress called a Longyi. Different to a Longneck beer, don't get confused.

Myanmar is very raw and untouched. It has only been open to tourists for 8 years. There is no fast food franchise just street food. We ate dinner every night in Mandalay at a place called Shan Ma Ma, very well known by the locals and the tourists, highly recommended.

All the older people still call themselves Burmese and are very religious. They will visit a pagoda multiple times a week to worship the Buda, usually taking the whole family.
