Welcome back, ScreenRanters! We all know that the fictional TV shows and films we watch are just that. Fictional. The actors aren’t really related, at least most of the time. Yet for some reason, actors that pretend to be related can often become a romantic couple offscreen. It’s strange, sure. And does break that fourth wall in part. But it’s okay. In real life, they’re not related. Today, we’re going to look at the screen relatives that dated in real life. As well as one instance when it was reversed...yeah, it’s as bizarre as it sounds.

Now for the spoiler paragraph. If you like surprises, we suggest you stop reading and watch the video multiple times. Firstly, we’ll look at Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan who married his onscreen sister. We then have a couple of related characters that dated I.R.L in the TV show, Heroes. Next up, we’ve got Will Arnett and Amy Poehler who already had their relationship before playing siblings in a film. There’s the tale of Blake Lively and a certain actor in Netflix’s You. There’s the reverse situation we alluded to in Arrested Development. We have Robert Pattinson and the reported relationship in Twilight (it’s not Kristen Stewart). There’s Marvel’s Chris Pratt and his relationship with another MCU star. There’s Selena Gomez and her relationship to her Disney brother. There’s two of the main actors in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off that dated before tragedy struck. Finally, we have a love connection in the revival of Doctor Who.
