On this day! (9-10-2024) I take pride in forming and establishing a new discipline in education, the Pedagogy of Conscience! I am grateful for this orientation by the teaching of Conscientization of Paulo Freire (Brazil) and also the teaching of Wang Yang Ming from the Ming era in China, where his teaching of 心理. I have tentatively named it in the Western terms Consciencology, or the study of conscience. Since conscience is all about the many thinking processes in us -- I have also created the term and the future courses named THINKOLOGY, and in the Latin and Roman languages as in Pensacologia (Portuguese), Pensacologia (Spanish), Pensacologia (Italian), and Pensacologie (French). Subsequently, Pensacology can also be used in English, but it is much simpler and has a broader reach than THINKOLOGY. This is an educational initiative based on the lack of awareness by Western scholars, not knowing -- the three basic Chinese systems of teaching (Thus pedagogy), be that the teaching of Confucius, Laozi's Tao or Dao, and the teaching of Buddha by way of India, where all three of these masters were all cultivating and fostering men to use thinking and to promote human kindness, with extra fruition, where kindness will generate simultaneously our human goodness. I will also welcome all the more global scholars and academics to foster this development of the POC -- Pedagogy of Conscience through my website, paulyih.ai - more presentations will be done in written forms as well as more use of videos, putting education back in the oral forms.
