Dr Deena Hinshaw—Augustana's 2020 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient—speaks about her time at Augustana and how it has helped shape her and her career.

Dr Hinshaw completed her bachelor of science at Augustana University College (AUC) in 1997 before going on to complete her doctor of medicine degree, a master’s in public health and residencies in family medicine and community medicine at the University of Alberta. She is now the chief medical officer of health for the Province of Alberta.
