It's a blessing that I get vacations from work at all. I still remember the days that my time off was spent in detoxes. That's if I had a job. I also had a family gathering at my place. That didn't happen at the end of my using because my family wasn't speaking to me. And in the end, I was homeless anyway. I now have an apartment (with a pool) and my family in my life. It's not easy. Sometimes I don't want to get out of bed, never mind going to work. And sometimes my family can be difficult (they probably say the same about me, LOL).
