A very calm and relaxing kayak day trip on Trälhavet bay on Mar 12, 2022 together with some of the kayak leaders in Friluftsfrämjandet (Swedish Outdoor Organization) in Österskär.

Our plan was to from Solbrännan in Österåker circumvent Resarö island but due to thick ice we had to choose a different return route. But we had a number of stretches were we paddled through thin ice. That was fun and quite noisy! Being dressed for the water temperature (probably about 5°C) and not for the air temperature, we were a bit too warm in our drysuits when the was no wind to cool us off. We paddled 18-19km (11-12 mi) and including lunch were on the water about 5h.
