We show you how you can control the power consumption of your aquarium. We take a look at the electrical devices installed in the aquarium and calculate their energy consumption based on our Scaper Cubes and AquaTanks.

Since electricity prices may vary considerably from region to region and from supplier to supplier, it is of course difficult to give an example regarding the electricity costs of an aquarium. But to get an idea, let's take 35 cents per kWh as an example. Based on our calculation for the Scaper Cubes, we then obtain monthly costs of approx. 2.30 €. For the 128 liter AquaTank, we get a total of about 6 €. So, these are very reasonable amounts. This more or less corresponds to the consumption of an average television set.
