We’d like to introduce you to our music therapy groups – we have a number of them and this one is run on Saturdays and comprises children aged around 6 to 8 years old. This group targets play and social skills – so important in any child’s development. We work on goals such as: regulation skills, controlling impulses, developing listening skills and the ability to follow directions, leadership skills, developing confidence in social settings, working as a team, waiting, turn-taking and joint play. The best part of it is the children really enjoy themselves while working hard on these developmental goals.
