Our new mix series, “Rinse & Repeat,” will regularly showcase the React team's favorite and most noteworthy artists from Chicago and beyond.

Keeping in tune with the "shake and pop" vibes, Episode 2 of Rinse & Repeat delivers yet again, another hour of block rocking beats. This time, Chicago legend and Farriswheel Recordings label boss Gene Farris beats the box with multiple new heavy hitting originals plus some classics that we know and love like "Work It". No stranger to React Presents stages, Gene has continued engraving his imprint on the Chicago scene with his powerhouse party brand, Gene Farris And Friends. While quickly becoming a Chicago staple, Gene's rambunctious party brand featured the likes of Walker and Royce, Jamie Jones, Solardo, and countless others. Just like his record label, parties and everything he does, this mix packs a punch.

Gene Farris lives and breathes house music. A bonafide Chicago legend, he’s been pushing musical boundaries for close to three decades, from spinning at underground warehouse parties in the early 90s to working with the current crop of world-leading labels and artists. Relief, Dirtybird, ViVa Music, Defected: all have released and championed Gene Farris records over the past few years, alongside his own Farris Wheel imprint: a fitting testament to the quality and relevance of the music he creates.
