Suzuki South Africa invited us on a 4x4 road trip to overland travel through Lesotho in the new Suzuki Jimny. This 4 day African adventure took us through some breathtaking Lesotho landscape, and we simply had to create a travel documentary to celebrate the incredible beauty of the small, mountainous African country. We traversed up Sani Pass - one of the most iconic dirt road passes in the world and a must drive for 4x4 enthusiasts. The Sani Pass, which connects South Africa with Lesotho, has a series of switchbacks which makes the road tricky to drive, add the steep rocky road and the mist which descends without warning and the drive can be extremely intense. At the top of Sani Pass is the Lesotho border, and minutes past that The Highest Pub in Africa. The Sani Mountain Pass is one of the most famous roads in Southern Africa and definitely a driving bucket list item. This made for one of the best road trips in Africa and driving up the Pass in a Jimny was extra special

Whilst travelling off road in Lesotho, we saw some of the most beautiful, untouched scenery in Africa. A highlight was a horse-back ride along sheer cliffs to the the Maletsunyane Falls in the Semonkong region. This is the second highest waterfall in the world and a truly spectacular site.

Lesotho is an incredibly travel destination and was a great experience; and the Suzuki Jimny took us up the steep passes and through the rocky river crossings with ease. Lesotho is a very underrated travel African location and we would highly recommend a visit to the beautiful Lesotho.
