With any van build, you gotta start from the floor and work upward, yes? Well, mostly.

This is probably the least interesting part of any van build, and also one of the most optional things one can do with their rig. Many people skip it altogether, just leave their factory floor in and build on top of it.

After several different plans for my floor, I ended up opting for a very simple solution - pull the old factory floor, add a layer of insulation, put the factory floor back in. I could have spent weeks on trying to accomplish what I'd originally planned, which was to mount runs of extruded aluminium onto the metal floor, and build the insulation/floor surface around those rails so everything was flush and level. Maybe with a future build...

Now with my floor in and my garage coin floor (mostly) installed, I can get on installing my sliding trays for hauling a pair of bicycles, my tool packout and several bins. (And yes, considering the delay in getting videos done, I got those trays in a good week ago!)
