This is my least favorite project of all time. I purchased an old beat-up tea cart at a thrift store at the start of the year, and then dragged my feet for the next 6 months sanding, painting, and repairing the tea cart, which started out in absolute shambles.
Despite all my whining about hating furniture restorations, there was a joy i found in taking an old tea cart and giving it new life, a total transformation. I had a fun time using my brand new 6-inch random orbital sander to sand down the old finish. It's extremely important to wear a dust mask when sanding down old finishes. dust destroys lungs. I got to use a new finish sprayer from harbor freight to spray a new clear coat finish on the beautiful cherry top that was uncovered when i sanded down the tea cart.
