Mate-Demate Devices were built by NASA to attach the Space Shuttles to the Shuttle Carrier Aircrafts. There were three different versions of these devices built. This model isn’t based on a specific version, I just made as efficient a working LEGO model as I could.

The shuttle is from LEGO Spaceport #60080. I cleaned up the build around the engines, and recolored it in all black and white to be more realistic.
