If you are starting in stand-up comedy, you will have to do open mic comedy to start off your gigs, however there are some bad habits people pick up from when they first start stand-up comedy. After doing thousands of open-mic gigs, Matt Hoss tells us 14 tips to avoid making terrible mistakes at an open mic level. These tips are helpful to professionals too who are looking for growth in their act, but they may have bypassed some of the more basic stuff. I really wish I had known all of these things when I first started out.
