The history of choral music is often enclosed within the age in which polyphonic expression was identified, almost uniquely, with musical production.
The golden age: the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries and the first part of the 17th, from the extreme offshoots of medieval civilisation to the incipient Baroque, framing the great humanistic-Renaissance flowering, are, for a hasty and popularised historiography, the boundaries beyond which the change in taste and the emancipation of the instrumental mark a slow but incontrovertible sunset for choral music.

The Jubilate Choir was founded in 1975 with the aim of bringing together the heritage of polyphony from all periods, in the awareness that this tradition constitutes an inexhaustible source of cultural and human enrichment both for those who study it in depth as performers and for those who have the opportunity to grasp its value through listening.
The repertoire consists mainly of a cappella polyphonic compositions, sacred and secular, from the 16th century to the present day.
The choir consists of over 40 elements. Directed from the outset by Paolo Alli, it has developed technical skills and stylistic sensitivity over the years thanks to the important critical and didactic contribution of Italian and foreign maestros (Accial, Bredolo, Jurgens, Molfino, Tillai and others), and to the continuous comparison with other choral experiences in competitions, festivals, tours and refresher courses.
