I wanted this video to be relaxing and I love watching flames, so there is plenty of fire building to watch if you are like me and find watching fires in a stove or campfire relaxing.
We made our "Earth Oven" about 2 years ago and it is still cooking and baking great!
Some people call these Wood Fired Ovens, Outdoor Ovens, Pizza Oven, Cob oven or Brick Ovens. Most I have seen looked very expensive to build.
Ours was made very cheap! Clay , sand, straw and some firebricks I bought to line the bottom. I realize now I probably did not need the bricks on the oven floor , but it looks cool and it does not get harmed by scraping across it to clean out ashes or move pans and pots in and out.
