Ang Mo Kio is a vibrant residential town and planning area located in the North-East region of Singapore. It is approximately 11 kilometers north of the Downtown Core district. Ang Mo Kio is the third most populated planning area in the North-East region and ranks eighth in terms of population in the country overall.

The town is bordered by Yishun to the north, Sengkang to the north-east, Serangoon to the east, Bishan to the south, and the Central Water Catchment to the west. Ang Mo Kio was redeveloped by the Housing and Development Board (HDB) in 1973 and was fully completed by 1980. It was the first town in Singapore to be built in metric dimensions.

Ang Mo Kio is known for its family-friendly environment, offering a variety of facilities and activities that create a “live, work, play, and learn” atmosphere for its residents. The town is also home to several parks, including Ang Mo Kio Town Garden East and Ang Mo Kio Town Garden West, as part of Singapore’s green initiative.
