Bodycam footage shows the moment surrounding a police chase that involved a mother who kidnapped her daughter after losing custody rights in 2022. Florida authorities said Pamela Cabrera abducted her 5-year-old from her sister’s home after the family member denied giving her visitation. On March 31, 2022, Cabrera was taken into custody after being rescued from a retention pond in Jacksonville, Florida after a lengthy pursuit. Cabrera’s daughter was in the car and did not survive. An arrest report shows, Cabrera led officers on a 30-mile high-speed chase with her 5-year-old daughter in tow before ultimately crashing into a retention pond.
