These images were filmed by Enrique Kirberg who, together with two other commissioners from the Chilean College of Engineers, traveled to the areas affected by the mega earthquake of May 22, 1960 to see the damage caused by the catastrophe on the ground.
Some of the towns visited were: Puerto Saavedra, Valdivia, Corral, Puerto Montt, Puerto Varas, Castro, Ancud, Concepción, among others.
