In mid-May rural farming villages begin to plant rice and other crops in the field that surround the houses in the village. I went to the small community of Teratani, in rural Hyogo, hoping to find rice in the fields for an early morning walk. It turned out that in this location the rice had not yet been planted, and the fields were still dry, but there were fresh green rice shoots staged in various places throughout the village so I expect the shoots to be in the ground soon. I reckon a return trip is in order sometime soon.

This morning walk had many nice nature sounds, birdsong, and flowing water which might make for soothing background noise for sleep or study. I hope you enjoy the sights and sounds from this beautiful rural village in whatever capacity suits you.
