"A Behemoth has Arrived!"/"You Spin Me Right Round!"

The “Dragonslayer Land Destroyer Project” was first proposed during the development of the Sturmtraktor, planners at the time considered it absurd. This changed after the fall of Macchi. The Fokker Empire was born with an inferiority complex, spurring the new Emperor to resurrect the project without delay for the prestige of the nation. In action, the machine was more like a landbound air destroyer than a tank. Though its armour was not the thickest, its cannons overmatched the majority of its opposition. Most of these machines were simply abandoned after brief use by deserters who just wanted to go home.

Isolated Sopwith had very different ideas about what the tank should be than the continental powers. In the case of the Markgraf Eliminierer, this was largely because of the strict size and weight limitations of the logistics airships available: Any vehicle would have to be small, light, and flexible in design. Though the tiny vehicles were roundly mocked in propaganda, their enemies took note of their innovations, and for three months in 1597, Eliminierers and knockoffs were being produced in four countries.
