The last nuclear power plants in Germany were supposed to go off-grid by the end of 2022 – the energy crisis put paid to that. By mid-April, nuclear energy from Germany is really supposed to come to an end. But it was only in 2022 that the European Union classified nuclear power as sustainable, and many neighboring countries swear by their nuclear reactors. How do these things go together?

With experts from various scientific disciplines, Susanne explores the question of what is next for nuclear power. In doing so, she talks about the search for final storage facilities, the enhanced safety of modern reactors, as well as about changing opinions regarding nuclear energy among the population.
