'Suddenly' (Vinyl, LP, Album) released in Japan.
'Caribbean Queen (No More Love On The Run)' (Vinyl, 12", 33 ⅓ RPM) released in the United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada and Australia.

Composed in 1984 by 'Billy Ocean' and American producer 'Keith Diamond', the song 'Caribbean Queen (No More Love On The Run)' is performed by British singer-songwriter 'Leslie Sebastian Charles', known professionally as 'Billy Ocean ', born in 'Trinidad and Tobago' and later moving to the United Kingdom at the age of 8 in 1974.
The song was initially released as "European Queen", but did not achieve success. As suggested by people at the record company, it was re-recorded for different parts of the world - resulting in the "Caribbean Queen" and "African Queen" versions. The song was written and recorded in the key of D minor. The saxophone solo is played by 'Vernon Jeffrey Smith'.

'Billy Ocean' once said: "The song was released in Europe as 'European Queen' and nobody was interested in it. When we changed the name to 'Caribbean Queen' and released it in the US, it took off and started to become a big hit. snow and they started playing it in Europe. I think it had more appeal as "Queen of the Caribbean" because Europe conjures up a vision of rain, snow and cold, but the Caribbean sounds like sunshine and blue skies. It's much more exotic."

Billy Ocean's string of huge international hits in the 1980s - starting with 1984's "Caribbean Queen (No More Love on the Run)" and going through 1988's "Get Outta My Dreams, Get into My Car." sold out to Ocean after the '90s, his '80s singles - which also include the ballads "Suddenly" and "There'll Be Sad Songs (To Make You Cry)" along with the upbeat and inspiring "When the Going Gets Tough" , the Tough Get Going" - maintained their popularity, allowing the singer to sustain a career into the 21st century.
Ocean's career really took off in 1984 when "Caribbean Queen (No More Love on the Run)" was released as the first single from his fifth album, 'Suddenly'.
