Further to the Movement Control Order (MCO), the Sarawak and Sabah State Governments on 19 March 2020 have further enhanced their entry and exit restrictions to/from the states.

Sarawak

The entry restrictions to and from Sarawak will be extended until 9 June 2020.

The entry ban imposed by the Sarawak State Government to foreigners or non-Sarawakians including Work Pass, Student Pass, and Long-Term Social Pass holders as well as their accompanying spouse and children remains unchanged.

Entry into Sarawak are only allowed to Sarawakians, Sarawak MYPR holders, and returning Sarawakians who exited Sarawak before the enactment of the Movement Control Order (MCO) starting 18 March 2020. Accompanying spouse and children who are non-Sarawakians must obtain entry certificate via https://sarawakdisastermc.com/

All passengers transiting through Sarawak with onward connection to Labuan, Sabah, or Peninsular Malaysia are not required to apply for entry as long as they stay within the terminal.

Effective 20 April 2020, all returning Sarawakians from Peninsular Malaysia/Sabah/Labuan will be required to undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine at designated quarantine centres in Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu, and Miri. Passengers are also subject to the Coronavirus Swab Test (PCR- Polymerase Chain Reaction) on the seventh day. They will be allowed to return and complete the remaining seven days of quarantine at home if the results are negative.
