Khama Rhino Sanctuary is a true safe haven for Rhinos. The sanctuary was established in 1993. The residents of Serowe wished to restore the area around the Serwe pan to its earlier splendour. The area is particularly suited for rhinoceros. Her you can see white and black rhino roaming freely. The campsites are huge and surrounded by thick bushes, It gives one a real sense of privacy. There are no fences and you can expect visits from the wildlife! The ablution facilities are adequate and you can enjoy meals at the restaurant if you wish. The shop has very limited supplies, but you can wood, ice and beverages, including bear, and the odd food supplies. It is really worthwhile to stop at Khama Rhino Sanctuary. We stayed here a couple of times and we were never disappointed.
