After an eventful first day at Sapa with visit to Fansipan and Cat Cat Village, I decided to head into Sapa Town to hunt for a particular Sapa Chestnut Cake (Bánh hạt dẻ) to bring back with me and also enjoy a nice ethnic dinner which was one of my goal for this visit to Sapa, Vietnam.

The hotel helped me arranged for a caddie ride into Sapa town and the driver dropped me off at the lake. I wandered around for a bit looking for the Sapa Chestnut Cake which I was ultimately successful in getting 2 boxes but communication with the seller was a challenge indeed. After walking around for a bit, I decided to stop by Le Gecko Café for a drink. I sat outside to enjoy my fruit drink while people watching.

For dinner, I walked over to Anise Sapa Restaurant close by and ordered their Sauteed H'mong Smoked Bacon with Village Vegetable and Garlic for VND 165,000 or USD 7.00 or MYR 32.00 and the dish was stellar and authentic Sapa. I enjoyed it immensely plus their service was superb too.

After which I stopped by a local convenience store to get some drinks and walked back to Sapa Vista Hotel to cap a fun filled packed day in Sapa which I will always remember.
