Today would have been the 22nd birthday of Care Hansen (my very best friend for the last few years). 🎂 🥺 My heart broke into a million pieces when they died by suicide in December. 💔 😫

Yesterday, I filmed this video for Care of me singing/playing "this is me trying" (from Taylor Swift's 2020 "folklore" album). 🎥 🎹 I shared this emotional song w/ Care back in 2021, & it became the theme song of our friendship (since the lyrics mirrored the intense mental health struggles we were both battling). 🎵 😭

I'll always deeply admire how hard you tried to stay on this earth, Care, & I'll always cherish the many precious memories we made together. 🙏 🏳️‍⚧️ I love you & miss you SO much... ❤️‍🩹 🫂
