Today we are spending 24 hours in the beautiful town of Geiranger in the West Norwegian Fjords. This is a well-known town that is frequented by cruise ships and is generally overpriced and overrun by tourists. Our first impressions of the town were similar, but by the time we left we had fallen in love with the surrounding areas, but not the town itself.

We stayed at the Hotel Geiranger. The decor was a bit old but the waterfront balcony was nice once the cruise ships left in the evening. You can book your stay here (Affiliate link):

Kayaking on the Fjord was a highlight. The twin waterfalls, and the surrounding mountains, make this one of the best places to go kayaking in Norway. The cruise ships don't cause too many issues with this.
