Take the train from Belgrade (Serbia) to Bar (Montenegro). The journey from Belgrade to Bar in Montenegro over the celebrated Belgrade to Bar railway is one of Europe's most spectacular train rides. It's a marvel of engineering, with 254 tunnels and 435 bridges on the 296-mile journey from the Serbian capital to the Adriatic. Construction of the line started in the 1950s but only completed in 1976, opened by President Tito himself.

Tucked away in an unassuming railyard garage in the Belgrade neighborhood of Topčider is the most famous train of the Yugoslav-era — Josip Broz Tito’s private luxury train, commonly known as “Tito’s Blue Train” or "The Blue Miracle".
New Belgrade railway station. The new building of the main railway station was officially opened at the end of October 2023, and was built with the highest standards in passenger rail traffic in mind.
Within the building, passengers have 12 travellators and 10 lifts at their disposal, as well as 14 shops, ticket counters and machines, a pharmacy, a bank, a bakery, a restaurant, and a cafe, as well as currency exchange, car rental. The Belgrade Centre railway station is designed to serve around 40,000 passengers per day, equating to approximately 1.2 million passengers per month. The new building will have ten tracks and six platforms, with eight tracks and five platforms currently being in operation.
