In the United States, thousands of people identify as Afro-Indigenous.
Yet, whilst the histories of black and indigenous people are intertwined, the relationship is rarely taught.
This leaves the Afro-Indigenous community to often feel misinterpreted or ignored by the mainstream media.
TikToker Kara Roselles is from the Chappaquiddick Wampanoag tribe. She talks about the lack of representation for her tribe, especially around celebratory times such as November's Native American Heritage month and why she uses her social media platform to teach others about her dual heritage.
