In today's episode, I assemble the new Freenove Robot Dog Kit for Raspberry Pi. The robot comes complete (structure, servos, sensors etc.) with the exception of the Raspberry Pi and the batteries.
I normally do not buy robot kits as my interest is in making my own robots using 3D printing. But I could not find any quadruped robot on the Internet which was so easy to assemble and program. I was impressed by the quality of the tutorial. Every step is detailed with pictures and instructions. The complete Python code is also provided, to walk, balance, track a ball, measure a distance, activate a buzzer or animate a LED panel. I think the Freenove Robot Dog Kit for Raspberry Pi is the go to robot for anyone getting started in quadruped robots.
